The Town of Morrison will keep parking prices the same, update its website and enter into a new intergovernmental agreement with Lakewood after Tuesday’s board meeting.

IGA

The Morrison Board approved a new intergovernmental agreement with the City of Lakewood regarding the Rooney Valley. The new agreement will replace and simplify the 2016 agreement and remove any sources of conflict between the city and town. The IGA outlines the areas in which the town needs city approval to provide water/sewer services. The agreement is scheduled for approval at the Lakewood City Council meeting on July 11. It will not become active until both parties approve.

Website Updates

The board also approved the expenditures to update its website, which has not been updated since 2013. The agreement with CivicPlus will optimize the website for mobile devices as well as make it compliant with ADA standards for government websites. The agreement will include website updates every four years. The board appointed David Wirtz to join Kara Winters, Ariana Neverdahl, Lindsay Kuhns and Matthew Mossbrucker on the website committee.

Parking Prices

Board members moved to keep parking prices the same for the Town of Morrison. Interstate Parking Company, which manages the paid parking system in Morrison and many other areas in the state, suggested an increase in prices similar to what customers in Idaho Springs have recently done. The board decided to keep prices as they are for now.
