Friday Night Lights may have been a movie, but it is happening on a grand scale in Evergreen right now thanks to Evergreen’s dynamic and beloved football coach Matthew Van Praag, aka MVP. I have never seen a coach develop such a relationship with the players and parents as he has done. Now I am asking the community to come out for a game and see the experience. Tailgate parties, bounce houses, food trucks and then great football.

Exciting players like QB Tommy Poholosky who will follow his father’s legendary footsteps at IOWA, linebackers Russ Woodward and jack Johnson who are terrorizing the other teams offence, Kyle Solewitz and his Pat Surtain like ability to shut down the other teams receivers, a trio of offensive weapons a nd then Lindsey Jeans who is on track to be the highest scoring female football player in history.

The program is also raising money to add bleachers and install state of the art lighting and more. Please consider donating to this noble cause. This will also help the marching, band, lacrosse and soccer teams. Please visit www.ehshomefield.com and come to the games.
