Evergreen Discount Liquors is doing what they can to raise money for Ukraine.
When the conflict in Ukraine started in March, Evergreen Discount Liquors decided to stop selling Russian Standard and Moskovskaya vodkas.
“They went ahead and pulled both these brands off the shelf,” general manager Garrett Teal said.
About a week ago, the store made the decision to bring the brands back out, but on a special display. They decided to sell them at cost, with all the money going to UNICEF benefitting Ukraine. Spirits buyer Brittny Palan said it was the least they could do.
“Just trying to give back however we can,” she said.
The store has seen many sales from the new display, and has already completely sold out of Moscow Mules.
“Everyone is really eager to help,” Palan said.
The store is also promoting its Ukrainian vodka, and has seen good sales with that product, too.
