Law enforcement agencies in Weld County, including the Fort Lupton Police Department and the Weld County Sheriff's Office, are asking for help in identifying four people who have committed several burglaries in Longmont, Fort Lupton and unincorporated Weld County.
Weld County Sheriff's Office spokesman Joe Moylan said authorities think the four are involved in four burglaries. The ones in Weld County and in Fort Lupton occurred June 22. All four burglaries happened between 11:30 p.m. and 2 a.m. at car dealerships.
Moylan said the four, who are armed with baseball bats and at least one long gun — perhaps an AR-style rifle — wore masks during the burglaries. The four used a dark-colored Jeep Grand Cherokee, perhaps an SRT 8 model.
"The suspects are considered armed and dangerous," Moylan said. "They are particularly dangerous to car dealership employees, security personnel and law enforcement officers who might respond to late-night alarms."
Call 911 if you see the four individuals. Anyone with information about the suspects should call Detective Stupka with the Weld County Sheriff's Office at bstupka@weldgov.com and reference case numbers 22W023405 and 22W023403, Detective Williams with the Longmont Police Department at rs.williams@longmontcolorado.gov, or Fort Lupton Police Department Investigations at police@fortluptonco.gov and reference case 22FP05892.
