Jennifer Noyes is serving as interim chief of staff in the Chancellor’s Office at the University of Wisconsin Madison.
Noyes has held a series of important positions at UW-Madison and in Wisconsin state government including most recently as vice provost for academic operations and the senior administrator responsible for campus COVID-19 response and operations. Prior to serving in these roles, Noyes served as the chief of staff in the College of Letters & Science, associate director for programs and management of the Institute for Research on Poverty and as a distinguished researcher at the Institute for Research on Poverty, an affiliation she retains.
She holds a doctorate from UW-Madison’s Sandra Rosenbaum School of Social Work and a master of arts degree in public affairs from the University of Minnesota. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Denver. She is a 1981 graduate of Evergreen High School.
Jennifer’s deep operational experience, connections throughout the university and commitment to public service make her uniquely qualified to take on this role, according to a news release from UW-Madison.
Dr. Hope Veurink is joining Evergreen Dental Group this month. She’s from a small farm in South Dakota. Veurink started her schooling in Sioux Falls where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in nursing. She became a registered nurse, working in the cardiology department at Sanford Hospital, and then she worked as a travel nurse for UCHealth Hospital.
Simultaneously she attended dental school at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine. When she’s not treating patients you can find her mountain biking, hiking, paddle boarding, skiing and spending time with her friends and family.
Deborah Carter, of Evergreen, was inducted into a nationally known group for senior dressage riders and horses in May. The ages of Deborah and her horse, La Vie Nouveaux, qualify them to become members of The Dressage Foundation Century Club.
The Century Club recognizes dressage riders and horses whose combined ages total 100 years or more. Deborah is 71 and La Vie Nouveaux is 29. In addition to having ages totaling 100 or more, horse and rider perform a dressage test of any level and are scored by a dressage judge. Deborah rode at the Dressage For the Cure at the Peak hosted at the Denver Polo Club in Sedalia.
The following area students have been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2022 semester at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. They are Gabe Bruce Schlaebitz, of Evergreen, a senior finance major in the College of Business; Merin Voelker, of Evergreen, a freshman pre-health major in the Explore Center; and Aaron Zane Gonzales, of Morrison, a junior business administration major in the College of Business.
Keith Firsch, of Conifer, has graduated with a doctor of physical therapy degree from the University of Findlay in Findlay, Ohio.
Zachary Klein, of Evergreen, graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in marketing from Marietta College in Marietta, Ohio.
Lucas Jones, a biochemistry major from Evergreen, has made the dean's list for the spring 2022 semester at Monmouth College. To qualify, students need to attain a GPA of 3.5 or better. Jones is the child of Christopher K. and Tracy J. Jones of Evergreen.
The following students were named to the dean’s list for the spring 2022 semester at Miami University of Ohio. They are Jocelin Zimmerer, of Evergreen, who is working on a bachelor of arts degree in premedical studies; Kayleigh Milligan, of Morrison, who is working on a bachelor of arts degree in literature; Sofie Olson, of Golden, who is working on a bachelor of science degree in real estate; and Margaret Pilkington, of Golden, who is earning a degree in entrepreneurship.
The following Evergreen students were named to the dean’s list for the spring 2022 semester at the University of Iowa in Iowa City, Iowa. They are: Sarah Jermano, a nursing major; Daniel Matthew, a mechanical engineering major; and Kira Semmens, an English and creative writing major.
The following students graduated from the University of Iowa in May. They are Daniel Matthew, of Evergreen, with a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering and Eleanor Heckman, of Golden, with a bachelor of science degree in environmental policy and planning.
Isabella Namaksy, of Conifer, has been named to the dean's list for the Spring 2022 semester at Plymouth State University in Plymouth, New Hampshire. To be named to the Dean's List, a student must achieve a GPA between 3.5 and 3.69. Namaksy is an adventure education major.
Jacob Hartmere, of Evergreen, has been named to president's list for the spring 2022 semester at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina. Hartmere, a marketing major, has a 4.0 GPA.
Jake Dekoker, of Evergreen, has been named to the dean’s list for the spring 2022 semester at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, South Carolina. Dekoker is a finance pre-major. Students on the dean's list have a GPA between 3.5-3.99 for the semester.
Kiana Holmes, of Evergreen, has been named to the dean’s list or the spring 2022 semester at Muhlenberg College in Allentown, Pennsylvania. Students on the dean’s list have a 3.5 or better GPA.
