The aspen trees in Elk Meadow Park are boasting bright yellow tones to kick off October. In Evergreen, this park is host to many trails where hikers can view the changing leaves and maybe catch a glimpse of an elk. On a Friday morning, the trails stay quiet, but by the afternoon, the weekend has begun and people are out enjoying the outdoors in droves.
