  • Longtime PTA member running for school board

Longtime Jeffco PTA member and parent Tonya Aultman-Bettridge has announced that she will run for the Jeffco school board in November.

Aultman-Bettridge will vie with Julie Williams for the seat in District 1, which covers the northern part of Jefferson County. Incumbent Robin Johnson has announced she will not run for re-election.

School board members run in geographic districts in nonpartisan elections, but voters throughout the county cast ballots in all the races. This year’s election is Nov. 5.

  • Political newcomer running for Boggs’ school board seat

A political newcomer has announced a bid for the Jeffco school board seat currently held by fiscal conservative Laura Boggs.

Jeff Lamontagne, co-founder of the Second Wind Fund, recently announced he is running for the Board of Education seat in District 2, which covers a sprawling area in the western part of the county.

  • Q&A with HD25 candidate Jack Woehr

How much money have you raised from donors?

$0, as my reports to the secretary of state show, which are online at http://www.sos.state.co.us.

How much from your own resources?

$0 ... It's not fun raising money, and I see no reason why a candidate can't walk to office without it. I've run five times, and people kinda know I 'm there at this point fighting for their civil rights and against the rise of authoritarian government in Colorado.
