  • Nancy Bernstein, 67

    Nancy Bernstein, 67, loving mother of two and dear friend of too many to count, passed away on June 29, 2010, in Granby.

    Nancy is survived by her sons, Gabe and Nate; stepsons Lee and Matt; and six grandchildren. Nancy has seven living brothers and sisters who will deeply miss her.

  • Alex R. Dunn Jr.

    Alex R. Dunn Jr., 82, died June 13, 2010, at Elk Run Assisted Living in Evergreen following a long battle with Parkinson's disease.

    Alex is survived by his wife, Susan; sons Jim Dunn (Lorie), Greg Dunn, Jeff Dunn and Gary Dunn; stepsons Emerson Harvey III (Ellen) and Gordon Harvey (Amy); and stepdaughter Sarah Damour (Chris). He was preceded in death by his parents, Gertrude and Alex Dunn Sr., and stepson Roger Harvey.

    A memorial service was held on Monday June 21, 2010 at Cherry Hills Community Church Chapel.

  • Ronald K. Powell Sr., 76

    Ronald K. Powell Sr., 76, of Golden was embraced by his savior and Lord, Jesus Christ, on July 28, 2010.

    Ronald was husband of Mary Lou; daddy to Ron Jr., Merede Mattison and Melissa Newkirk; father-in-law to Sue, Dave and John; and granddaddy to Liz, Ben, Rachel, Tristine, Jonathan, Mandy, Katie and Sarah.

    A celebration of life will be held at 9:30 a.m. Friday, July 2 at Conference Baptist Church, 27154 N. Turkey Creek Road in Evergreen, followed by burial at 2 p.m. at Golden Cemetery. To write a condolence to the family, visit www.evergreenmemorialpark.com.

  • Craig Pickett Lange

    Craig Pickett Lange was born on July 21, 1992, in Littleton. He died June 4, 2010, in Angel Fire, N.M.

    Craig was a Conifer High School junior and lived with his family in Morrison.

    He is survived by his parents, John and Kimberly Lange, and by his sister Brett and brother Reid.

    A celebration of his life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 18, at Waterstone Community Church, 5890 S. Alkire St. in Littleton, with a reception to follow at Conifer High School.

     

  • Christiana (Mohrhauser) Edwards

    Christiana Jane (Mohrhauser) Edwards, 59, of Kittredge died June 9, 2010.

    Memorial services will be June 21 at Mile Hi Church in Lakewood. Christie's ashes will be spread at her special spot in Oregon.

  • Lee T. ‘Budd’ Clark

    Lee T. “Budd” Clark died at home unexpectedly on June 9, 2010.

    Budd was born on March 2, 1930, in Wichita, Kan. He moved to Evergreen with his parents, A.R. and Leona Clark, in 1943. Budd graduated from Evergreen High School Class of 1948. He attended the University of Colorado his freshman year, then served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War, where he met the love of his life, Ann McDonnell. They were married Jan. 8, 1953, at Christ the King Catholic Church in Evergreen. Ann preceded Budd in death in 2004.

  • Cyndi Early, 53

    Cyndi Early, 53, of Conifer died June 5, 2010, in Conifer.

    She was preceded in death by her parents, Forrest and Ruth Early.

    She is survived by siblings Jim Early, Bill Early, Tina Bost and Maggie Simmons and her husband, Steve Ralph.

    A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, June 11, at the Church of the Transfiguration, 27640 Highway 74 in Evergreen.

     

  • Douglas Johnson, 53

    Douglas Johnson, 53, of Evergreen died at his home on June 4, 2010.

    He was the son of Howard and Marie Johnson. Doug was a teacher and track coach for both Jefferson County and Clear Creek County school districts.

    He is survived by his mother, Marie Johnson; his brother, Larry Johnson; his sister, Vicki Norton; and his nephew, Gordon Johnson, all of Colorado.

    Aspen Mortuary in Lakewood is in charge of arrangements.

     

  • Barbara Fay (Steen) Aussprung

    Barbara Fay Aussprung of Evergreen, formerly of Peotone, Ill., passed away June 4, 2010.

    She was the daughter of C. Franklin and Valentine Arnold of Evergreen. She is survived by her husband, Robert; a son, Scott Steen of Commerce City; and a daughter, Lori Steen of Lakewood.

    A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 12, at Evergreen United Methodist Church.

  • Cam Goodman

    Longtime Evergreen resident Cam Goodman, the proprietor of the El Rancho Trading Post, died peacefully on Sunday, May 30, 2010.

    Cam died after a recurrence of cervical cancer, with her wishes honored under daughter Che Rippinger’s care.

    Originally from Chicago, Cam called the Rocky Mountains home for most of her life. She was a certified herbalist and a 25-year Religious Science practitioner with Mile Hi Church. Best friend to daughter Che, Cam graced, influenced and motivated many lives.
