  • Richard F. Smith

    Richard F. Smith of Evergreen passed on Aug. 23, 2010. He was the son of LF and Catherine Smith, and was born July 21, 1918, in Bonneauville, Pa.

    Interment will be 10:30 a.m. Sept. 16 at Fort Logan National Cemetery, Area B.

    He was a veteran of World War II and retired in July 1980 from the GSA. Dick and Mary enjoyed camping and traveling the USA. He was a member of American Legion Post No. 1 and the Knights of Columbus.

  • Francis J. Early, 82

    Francis J. Early, also called Frank or Pancho, a longtime resident of Kittredge, passed away on the evening of Sept. 3, 2010, in Lakewood after losing his battle with acute leukemia. He was 82 years old.

    Born in Syracuse, N.Y., on June 26, 1928, he was the sixth child of Francis John Early and Rhoda Gray.

  • Dan Sherer

    Family and friends of Daniel Marvin Sherer are mourning his passing on Wednesday, Aug. 25, 2010, when Dan succumbed to pancreatic cancer just one month after being diagnosed.

    Born on June 22, 1941, in Abington, Pa., Dan had recently celebrated his 69th birthday in Sedalia with his loving wife of six years, Jo Evans Sherer, Dan's son Richard Andrew "Randy" Sherer and their extended family.

  • Patricia Ann Floden-Ketels, 58

    Patricia Ann Floden-Ketels 58, died unexpectedly at home in Evergreen on Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010.

    Visitation was Saturday, Aug. 27, at McLaren's Chapel, Rest-haven Cemetery in West Des Moines, Iowa. A memorial service followed.

    Pat, daughter of Irene and Merle Floden, was born on May 3, 1952, in Des Moines. She graduated from Lincoln High School, Grand View College and Drake University, all in Des Moines. Pat was married to Peter A. Ketels for 19 years.

  • Darlene Dokken

    Darlene Dokken, a longtime resident of Evergreen, was embraced by her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Aug. 21, 2010.

    A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Sept. 3, at Foothills Bible Church in Littleton. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society or to a charity of the donor’s choice.

     

  • Wilfred Dean Bielz Jr.

    Wilfred Dean Bielz Jr. of Clear Creek County, a former resident of Victor, entered into this world on July 29, 1961, and passed away on Aug. 17, 2010.

    He was the beloved son of Wilfred and Nellie Bielz. He will be missed greatly by family and friends.

     

  • Thomas Joseph Birr

    It is with great sadness the bereaved family of Thomas Joseph Birr report his unexpected death on Aug. 9, 2010.

    Born in Elgin, Ill., in 1959, Tom had resided in Evergreen since the late ’70s. He successfully owned and operated Constellation T.V. for decades and was brilliant at his craft. Tom courageously battled daily pain and illness, heroically managing to smile and laugh, and bring joy daily to his heartbroken wife, Julie Wynn-Birr.

  • Nicholas James Gustafson, 25

    Nicholas James Gustafson, 25, a native of Evergreen, was abruptly taken from us on Aug. 14, 2010. Nicholas, known as, “Nick” or “G” to his friends, touched the lives of all who knew him with his sense of compassion for others, contagious smile and enormous heart. Nick was blessed with a beautiful daughter and many amazing experiences.

  • Frank Davis McIntyre

    Frank Davis McIntyre of Evergreen died Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2010, at his home in Evergreen.

    He is survived by his son, Jeremy McIntyre, and his daughter, Mary McIntyre.

    A memorial was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 24, at the Stagecoach Sports Grill.

     

  • Ione Buchanan, 95

    Ione Buchanan, 95, passed away Aug. 12, 2010.

    Ione was a 60-year resident of Indian Hills and last remaining charter member of Indian Hills Christian Fellowship.

    She is survived by her sons, Clarke (Karen) and John Buchanan; daughters Bonnie (Bill) Damiano, Heather Anderson and Beth (Randy) Clark; and brother Arnold Clarke.

    She was preceded in death by her husband, Julius; son Larry; and grandson Travis Clark.

    A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, at Indian Hills Christian Fellowship, 23338 Isoleta Road.
