Two injured in motorcycle accident on Highway 74

A female passenger was ejected off the vehicle and into Bear Creek

Two people were injured in a motorcycle accident that closed Highway 74 between Morrison and Idledale.

The accident, which happened before 6 p.m. Tuesday, involved a single motorcycle and happened near Highway 74 and Grapevine Road. The highway was closed in both directions.

The man who was driving the motorcycle was injured, but it’s unclear to what extent, according to Trooper Josh Lewis with Colorado State Patrol. The woman passenger was ejected from the motorcycle and ended up in Bear Creek. Neither has been identified.
