RTD proposes eliminating mountain area's routes to Federal Center

-A A +A
By Corinne Westeman

RTD is considering eliminating Evergreen and Conifer bus routes that stop at the Federal Center on their way to and from Denver to save money, but local riders say they’re willing to pay more for their passes or add the stop to other routes.

“By eliminating the ES/CS (routes), you’re eliminating an opportunity for these people to access the Light Rail system,” said Dean Miller, who’s been riding the bus from Evergreen for 21 years. “... You’re going to be putting people in cars, basically.”
