Recycling at King Soopers continues with minor change

The 4EverGreen recycling center at King Soopers in Bergen Park is continuing to provide service to residents in the community.
EDS Waste Solutions is operating the center, as it has in the past, with one minor change. The cardboard compactor has been removed and replaced with a container similar to the existing ones at the center. People bringing cardboard for recycling are asked to flatten it before placing it in the container.
All other recyclable materials accepted at the center are remaining the same. The center has containers for mixed plastic and cans, glass only, plastic only and paper only.
If the containers are full, please do not place materials on the ground.
Materials brought to the Bergen Park center will be taken to the EDS transfer station in Marshdale for sorting and processing.
To recycle other materials or drop off household waste, residents can come to the full service center at 5801 Highway 73 in Marshdale.
The transfer station and recycling center are open Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
EDS stopped operating its collection service for trash and recycling last November when Waste Management assumed the operation.
However, EDS is maintaining recycling drop-off sites in the community.
