"To me, this is kind of a dream job. It's half-time, but there's a lot of room for growth," said Vanessa Hayes, 30, the new executive director of the Evergreen Nature Center, which is housed in the old warming hut on Evergreen Lake from April through October.

Hayes joins the Nature Center following the resignation of Aly Duffy, who held the job for one season. Duffy found a permanent job with the WILD Foundation in Boulder. Hayes is the third executive director since the Nature Center was created in 2008 with Michael Stills at the helm.
