Cactus Jack's to celebrate its rebound from the flood

-A A +A
By Deb Hurley Brobst

Cactus Jack's Saloon and Grill is planning a party on Saturday to celebrate its comeback after last year’s flood wiped out the business.

Sept. 13 is the one-year anniversary of the Bear Creek flood that devastated both Cactus Jack's and JP Total on opposite ends of downtown, and closed Highway 73 over the dam, Highway 74 through downtown Evergreen and Kittredge, and Upper Bear Creek Road.

The water damaged several downtown businesses and homes in the area.
