An Evergreen woman charged with attempting to murder her husband has pleaded not guilty.
Julie Bird, 59, was arrested on July 5 after deputies found her husband with a gunshot wound to his back. He was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Investigators believe Bird was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.
Bird has been charged with attempted murder, third-degree assault and prohibited use of a firearm. Her bond was set at $50,000 cash or surety, which she posted on July 27.
