Area students creating walkway mural under Highway 73

Four hundred Evergreen artists will be creating a 140-foot long mural in the walkway under Highway 73 in downtown Evergreen.

The artists — all of the students at Wilmot Elementary plus the kindergartners and first-graders at Bergen Meadow — will design and paint the Bear Creek Children’s Mural with a life-in-Evergreen theme.

Art teacher Elisabeth Marcus and representatives from the Downtown Evergreen Economic District explained the plan to the Evergreen Park & Recreation board members on June 25, who enthusiastically endorsed it.
