ARVADA — Midseason changes are never easy, especially when a team loses its head coach. Such was the case for the Evergreen Cougars’ boys swimming team in 2015.
Marc Rios was EHS’ first-year head coach when the season began, but he left midseason for a club coaching position with the Greenwood Tiger Sharks.
Christian Bachrodt took over, and the adjustment in coaching styles was substantial. While Rios’ focus was more on individuals, Bachrodt focuses more on the team being one, Cooper O’Hearn said.
