We need a  family entertainment center
    Editor (and neighbors):
I recently heard a rumor of a ranch/farm store going into the former Albertsons.
And I must ask: Do we really need another ranch/farm store in our mountain community when several are already established; while Conifer just opened a large one a few miles away? Such could put established businesses out of business.

A thank-you to EPRD from Indian Hills
    Editor:
I would like to shout out a loud THANK-YOU to the fine people running the park and rec department. You not only poured your Heart (pun intended) and sole (boots on the ground from EPRD) into our beautiful new Arrowhead Park here in Indian Hills, but you throw us a bone at our community center and keep it mowed and trimmed to perfection. You have no idea how much you are appreciated!

Up-to-date, modern theaters would be a boon for Evergreen
    Editor:
I remember when, as a child, my parents would take me and my brother to Bergen Park to see movies at the local theater. When I learned it was closing, that came as no shock to me; however, the reasons behind the closure bother me.

    ‘Controlled’ burn was criminally negligent
    Editor:
I’m outraged! And you, as a member of the greater Conifer community, should be too after recent events. Of course I’m referring to the fire that at the time of this writing has destroyed 27 homes and killed three people.

Snow sculpture on Evergreen Lake was whimsical and delightful
    Editor:
Thank you to the person or persons who did the snow sculpture of the trout on Evergreen Lake a couple of weeks ago. It was creative, well done, and had a sense of fun.

Gits’ profile of sushi chef was insightful, inspirational
    Editor:
Deciding that enough was enough, the summer after my freshman year at South High in Denver, I followed the sun to Southern California. There, I spent the next 46-or-so years lost amidst the climbers/skiers’ eatery hangouts and abundant sushi bars. Indeed, I have become, somewhat, a self-appointed expert in the enjoyment of sushi — that nori-wrapped, one-bite delight.
