Kids at Rocky Mountain Academy confront cancer

Rocky Mountain Academy of Evergreen set out to make cancer an uplifting topic for its students April 27.

Because the school has been touched by cancer in several ways this school year, officials decided to make its annual community service day all about helping to make cancer patients’ days a bit brighter.

From writing and taping skits that cancer patients could view while undergoing chemotherapy, to talking with children who have cancer, to making care packages for patients, everyone in the school got involved.
