A man fell 40 feet Sunday from one of the newly installed zip lines at Conifer Community Park, and he was evacuated to St. Anthony Hospital in a Flight for Life helicopter. The zip lines were not open for business when the accident occurred.
Stefan Van der Steen, owner of Denver Zipline Tours, said no one had been given permission to use the zip line on Sunday evening.
“I’m not sure what happened,” Van der Steen said. “No one was authorized to use the facility; it was closed.
