The driver of the Evergreen Fire/Rescue pumper truck that rolled down an embankment at 872 Ponderosa Drive on June 9 is facing a citation for driving improperly on a mountain highway.
Such a citation carries a fine of $15 to $100.
Fire Chief Garry DeJong said he wasn’t aware of any “improper” driving maneuvers.
“I have every confidence he was taking the appropriate measures. He was trying to be nice and make room (for the other vehicle), and we had the result that we did,” DeJong said.
