The Evergreen Safeway’s liquor license was suspended for three days this past weekend because the store violated Colorado liquor laws.
All of the beer was pulled from the shelves from Friday through Sunday in compliance with the suspension.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office performed what it calls a liquor sales compliance operation at Safeway and several other liquor-selling establishments on May 16. A cashier at the Evergreen Safeway sold beer to an underage person who works for the sheriff’s office, said Jim Shires, sheriff’s spokesman.
