The hills were alive with the sound of music — and of laughter, water and fireworks — during the annual Indian Hills July 4th celebration on Friday.
“This is the third year in a row for me and my family,” said Scott Pierce of Evergreen. “We show up for the breakfast and the parade. It’s great.”

The annual event, dimmed the last two years because of dry conditions that forced cancellation of the fireworks display, was rejuvenated with the return of pyrotechnics in the night sky.
