In Evergreen, there is a woman who can make even a professional person cry.
She means that much.
“She’s magical,” Angela Chaverri, the life-enhancement director at Elk Run Assisted Living, said as a tear rolled down her face.
The woman she was referring to, Florence Oeste, was the first person to move into Elk Run when it opened in 2002. Oeste turned 100 years old on Saturday, Oct. 9. The occasion caused much celebration at several parties and a gala dinner that involved residents and relatives.
