Fire gutted a house Friday at 3951 Myers Gulch Road near Kittredge.
The blaze broke out at 10:30 a.m. Friday amid windy conditions that fanned the flames and torched nearby trees.
The home apparently was unoccupied when the fire started. The cause was not yet known.
Myers Gulch Road was closed while firefighters filled tanker trucks at a hydrant near the creek. The road had reopened by 4:30 p.m.
Multiple agencies including Evergreen Fire/Rescue and Indian Hills fought the fire at the home, a quarter of a mile south of Kittredge.
