  • Margaret Jean Todd

    Margaret Jean Todd was born Aug. 2, 1929, in Visalia, Calif. She lived in the Northern California and Palm Springs areas.

    She moved to Evergreen with her family in 1994 and moved to Steamboat in 2006.

    She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Arce, and grandson Brandon Arce, both of Steamboat.

    There will be a celebration of her life from noon to 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 8, at the Scott Community Center on Rollingstone Drive in Steamboat.

  • Phyllis ‘Phyl’ Beverley Mendenhall Duncan, 87

     

     

    Phyllis “Phyl” Beverley Mendenhall Duncan was born Feb. 2, 1924, in Hamilton Square, N.J. She died Sept. 29, 2011.

  • Connie Thorson, 83

    A 49-year Evergreen resident, Connie Thorson died Monday, Sept. 26, 2011. Connie had just celebrated her 83rd birthday surrounded by a full house of loving family.

  • Guy P. Maggio, 63

    Guy P. Maggio passed away peacefully on Saturday, Sept. 24, 2011, at the age of 63. He was a resident of Evergreen for 14 years.

  • Andrew Pierce, 75

    A memorial service to celebrate the life of Andrew Pierce, 75, of Evergreen, who passed away at home Sept. 17, 2011, will take place at 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, at the Denver Botanic Gardens.

    Andrew was a prominent and well-respected horticulturist, both locally and internationally. Born in Canterbury, England, he was trained at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, and later worked in England and Bermuda before immigrating to the United States in 1976.

  • Ami (Emmy) Toshiko Todoroki Smith, 89

    Ami (Emmy) Toshiko Todoroki Smith, 89, from Kobe, Japan, passed away peacefully on Sept. 4, 2011. Her loving husband of 60 years, Leon F. Smith from Salmon, Idaho, passed away May 31, 2008, at age 89.

    Leon was founder and president of MetroVideo Systems, and he and Ami resided in Los Angeles before moving to Evergreen.

  • Spencer Adam Page, 17

    The spirit of Spencer Adam Page, 17, of Evergreen, beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin and friend, left this world on Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011, due to complications from sarcoma cancer after a strong and courageous battle. He fought this battle to the end with grace and appreciation to all and was at peace with his loving family at his side. Spencer was born Sept. 16, 1993, in McAllen, Texas, and moved to Evergreen in 1998.

     

  • Andrew Pierce, 75

    Well-known horticulturist Andrew Pierce, 75, of Evergreen passed away Sept. 17, 2011, after a short illness, surrounded at home by his loving wife, Georgina, son Gordon, and daughter-in-law Laura.
    Andrew was born in Canterbury, England.
    He is survived by his wife; sons Gordon and Michael; grandchildren Heather, Ian and Robyn; twin brother James of England; and sister Nancy Hogbin of Victoria, B.C.
    Contributions in memory of Andrew may be made to Mt. Evans Hospice or to the Colorado Symphony Orchestra.

    Robert Prinzi died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2011, at his home in Indian Hills.

  • Jack W. Gregg

    In loving memory of Jack W. Gregg, who passed away in his home surrounded by family on Aug. 27, 2011.

    Jack was born in Davenport, Iowa, and moved to Denver in 1966 with the love of his life, Janice, and their twin daughters. They had two more children and moved to Evergreen in 1976. He was a treasured husband and daddy.

    We miss you so much and can't wait to see you again.
