Cougars take down Jaguars in close game

EVERGREEN — The Evergreen boys’ basketball team knows how to start off league play right.

Following a win against Standley Lake and a 61-55 victory over visiting D’Evelyn on Saturday afternoon, the Cougars now sit at 2-0 in league play (9-2 overall) and show no signs of slowing down. The Jaguars, however, have struggled in Jeffco play with two tough losses to start out the new year (4-6).
