  • ENGAGEMENT: Fick – Rauch

    John and Sheryl Fick of Evergreen are proud to announce the engagement of their daughter, Becca Fick, to Andrew Rauch, son of Jeff and Gwendolyn Rauch, also of Evergreen.

    Fick is a graduate of Colorado State University with a degree in exercise science and a graduate of the University of Colorado at Denver with a doctorate in physical therapy. She is currently working as a physical therapist in an outpatient and sports medicine clinic in Fort Collins.

  • Magnani honored for volunteer work

    Evergreen resident Kathy Magnani was recently awarded the Frist Humanitarian Award at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Medical Center.
    Magnani has devoted almost 850 volunteer hours as a "cuddler" in the neonatal intensive-care unit. She also is the sub-coordinator, helping to fill shifts when other volunteers are unavailable. She recently started teaching knitting to ante-partum moms.

  • Golf tournament at Hiwan raises $35,000 for local charities

    The Andy Smith Sr. Memorial Special Needs Golf Tournament at Hiwan Golf Club on July 15 raised more than $35,000 for the Evergreen Park & Recreation District’s special needs programs and two other charities.
    Twenty-eight foursomes participated in the tournament, for which NBA player Keith Van Horn was honorary chairman.

  • Schupp graduates summa cum laude from Baylor University

    Jaden Schupp of Evergreen, daughter of Denise Schupp, graduated Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude from Baylor University in Waco, Texas, with a major in biochemistry and minors in religion, medical humanities, math and biology. She started medical school at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston on July 22.

  • Tatum Terrill Gard

    Tatum Terrill Gard was born on July 10, 2013, at Littleton Adventist Hospital to proud parents Rachel and Kevin Gard of Morrison.
    Tatum was welcomed by his big sister, Macy. Maternal grandparents are David Lamers of Denver and Terri Lamers of Norwood. Paternal grandparents are Tom and Barbara Jean Gard.
    Tatum was also warmly received by great-grandmothers JoAnne Sayder of Norwood and Ruth Lamers of Penrose.

  • Local artist’s work on display in Loveland

    Evergreen artist Harold Linke was selected to place a piece in the Benson Sculpture Garden in Loveland. This is an honor bestowed on only a handful of artists, and Harold’s piece was installed on July 13 at the park. The piece he was asked to install is a life-size edition of “Girly Curl.”

    Joshua J. Klaus and Margaret M. Hoffmann became engaged on May 15, 2013, on the banks of Rattlesnake Creek in Missoula, Mont., just upstream from a mama black bear and her cub.

  • BIRTHS: Pedersen twins

    Jamie and Kyle Pedersen are delighted to announce the birth of their twin sons, Wyatt Robert and Eugene David Pedersen.

    The boys were born under the blue moon on Aug. 31, 2012, in Hudson, Wis. Wyatt was born at 9:49 p.m. and weighed 7 pounds, and he was 19 inches long.  Eugene was born at 9:55 p.m. and weighed 6 pounds, and he was 19 inches long. Their 2-year-old big sister, Cora, loves her new brothers.
    Proud grandparents are Karyn and Dave Pedersen of Evergreen and Diane and Denny Lowe of Willow River, Minn.
