Upper portion of Mount Evans Highway closed

The 5-mile stretch at the top of Mount Evans Highway was closed for the season on Sept. 4 by the Colorado Department of Transportation.

The highway, also called Colorado Highway 5, will remain open from Echo Lake to Summit Lake until October, weather permitting.
