Golden sends Evergreen into state tourney on a down note
Brad Chacho scored a game-high 22 points as Golden upset Evergreen in the fifth-place consolation game of the 4A Jeffco League tournament 53-45 on Feb. 17.
Nate Hill added 12 points for the visiting Demons (14-9).
Andre Lane led Evergreen (14-8) with 13 points. Konnor Propst and Chase Kelley scored nine each.
The loss was the Cougars’ second in three tournament games.
