GIRLS BASKETBALL
Elmgreen’s 17 points, seven rebounds paces the Lady Cougars
GOLDEN
— Emily Elmgreen had a team-high 17 points and seven rebounds, while Hannah Orr added 11 points as Evergreen won for the seventh time in eight games 50-37 over host Golden on Feb. 13.
Seven players scored for the Lady Cougars (14-7 overall, 9-3 4A Jeffco League), including seven points from Samantha Kisiel and six from Lauren Troeger.
Golden, which only trailed 36-33 entering the fourth quarter, dropped to 10-11, 6-6 in league play.

Four players score in double figures as Golden trips Evergreen
GOLDEN
— Mike Seaholm scored 14 points to lead four players in double figures for the host Demons in a 58-40 win over Evergreen on Feb. 13.
Cole Harris added 11 points, while Rory MacCallum and Ryan Thistlewood scored 10 points each. MacCallum added nine rebounds.
Golden (17-4, 10-2 4A Jeffco League) led 24-22 at the intermission before going on a 21-5 run in the third quarter to pull away.
The loss dropped Evergreen to 10-11 overall, 6-6 in conference play.

GIRLS GOLF
Evergreen Lady Cougars in search of players for the 2014 season

Evergreen High School’s girls golf season starts Feb. 24 and the team is looking for players who are interested in joining the team.
Students from Clear Creek High School as well as any private school are welcomed to join the squad.

BIKING
Evergreen mountain bike team hosting an open house on Feb. 27

The Evergreen Composite Mountain Biking Team, which includes student riders from Evergreen and Conifer High Schools, is hosting an open house for high school cycling enthusiasts on Feb. 27, from 5:30-8 p.m.,  at Buchanan Park Recreation Center.
Students and parents can register for the 2014 season, while learning more about the team’s spring and summer training rides on local mountain trails, optional races and organized bike events.
