Engelhart’s pitching, hot bats help Evergreen slam Alameda

Josh Bellatti went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and Daniel Gibbins went 2-for-3 with a double and two runs driven in as Evergreen rolled to an 11-1 victory over Alameda on April 13.
The game was called in the fifth inning due to the 10-run mercy rule.
Evergreen belted out 10 hits, including two from Jake Englehart. Ryan Hays scored three runs.
Englehart pitched four innings for the victory. He walked one and struck out seven. Hays struck out the side in an inning of relief.
The win was Evergreen’s fourth in six games.

Lady Cougars’ five-game unbeaten streak comes to an end

Lindsey Ryals’ game-winning goal in the second half helped Lewis-Palmer knock off host Evergreen 2-1 on April 13 at Evergreen High School.
Lauren Belisairo also scored for Lewis-Palmer, while Sabrina Perry made six saves.
Evergreen’s lone goal was scored by junior Jenny Slack off assists from Zoe Peterson and Nicole Adreon.
Sophomore keeper Natalie Ulfig made nine saves for the Lady Cougars, who had their five-game unbeaten streak snapped.
