Jackson has goal, assist as Evergreen topples Conifer

Ethan Jackson had a goal and an assist, while twin brother Matthew Jackson and freshman Adriano Borsa also scored goals in Evergreen’s 3-1 Mountain Cup victory over Conifer on Oct. 1 at Evergreen High School.
The win was Evergreen’s fifth straight as it improved to 7-1-1 on the season, 3-0 in the 4A Jeffco League.
Jack Drumright and Matthew Hornbecker combined for four saves for Evergreen.

Cassell rushes for three TDs as Evergreen rolls past Arvada
— Quarterback John Cassell rushed for 134 yards and three touchdowns and threw for another score as Evergreen routed Arvada, 41-7, on Sept. 29 at Trailblazer Stadium.
Ryan Hays added 132 yards rushing on 17 carries. Overall, the Cougars rushed for 394 yards, while holding Arvada to minus-3 yards rushing.
Evergreen (3-2, 2-0 3A Metro West) has won two straight and remains tied with D’Evelyn for first place in the conference.

Wickham leads Evergreen to convincing win over Alameda

Ragan Wickham went 3-for-3 with a double, four RBIs and four runs scored as Evergreen routed Alameda, 18-2, on Sept. 29 at EHS.
Evergreen (9-8, 3-2 4A Jeffco) won for the third time in four games. Sarah Kay went 4-for-4, while Sydney Stansbury and Natalia Aramovich had three hits each.
