Tenney fires opening-round 93 on first day of 4A state tourney
— Evergreen sophomore Madison Tenney shot a 20-over 93 during the first day of the two-day 4A girls golf state championship May 21 at Boomerang Golf Course.
Tenney opened with a double bogey on No. 10 and was 5-over after three holes before settling into a groove of four pars over the final six holes on the back nine.
She birdied the Par-4, 308-yard No. 4.

Registration open for EHS girls basketball summer camp

Registration for the Evergreen Lady Cougars’ girls basetball camp is open.
The camp will be held at Evergreen High School from June 11-13. The camp for incoming third to fifth graders will be from 1-3 p.m. daily. Camp for incoming sixth through eighth graders is from 3-5 p.m.
The camp will cover fundamental skills drills, shooting technique, ball handling, team competition and contests.
Cost is $50 per camper. A registration form and more information can be found online at ehsbasketballgirls.weebly.com. Pre-registration is encouraged.

Evergreen boys program hosting camp June 4-8

The Evergreen Cougars’ boys basketball team is hosting a summer basketball camp for boys in grades three through eight June 4-8 at Evergreen High School.
Campers will learn fundamental skills, shooting techniques, and ball handling and dribbling. There will be team competitions and contests.
Camp will run from 9-11 a.m. daily for third through fifth graders and 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for sixth through eighth graders.
Campers should bring gym clothing, court shoes, basketball with name on it and water daily.
