Jews will be celebrating the Jewish New Year, Rosh Hashanah, starting at sundown on Sept. 13. The Jewish New year is a time for self-reflection and renewal. At our synagogue, Judaism in the Foothills, we have spent the last year in self-reflection, and we are now embarking on a renewal. Many religious organizations find self-reflection challenging, but we recognize that no matter how Godly our message, if we are not communicating it in a manner that people find appealing, we are not doing our job correctly.
