Sparks fuel residents' worries about proposed training facility

Residents living near Evergreen Fire/Rescue Station 2 in Bergen Park say they saw sparks flying during a recent training session — a sight that has increased their concerns about a proposed fire training building at the site.

“I couldn’t believe that I saw sparks,” said resident Greg Meyerhoff, who was observing the activity through binoculars from his home in The Trails at Hiwan on June 25. “Are they using prudent judgment?”
