Shirley Mardelle Luretta Whitten Mauer, 80, passed away peacefully with family at her side on May 14, 2012, at her home in Evergreen.
Wife to Elwin E. Mauer for 59 years, she was born Aug. 24, 1931, in Cedar Bluffs, Neb., the oldest of four daughters to William Wallace and Alta Whitten. She graduated from McCook High School and attended St Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing in Denver.
