A Jeffco sheriff’s report on an April 9 incident in which two rams were slaughtered at a residence near Wilmot Elementary School states they were not clubbed beforehand.
Sheriff’s deputies initially responded to a report from a resident that the animals were being bludgeoned and carved up, according to sheriff's spokeswoman Jacki Kelley.
After a complete investigation of the incident by deputies and Jeffco Animal Control, no evidence was found that the animals had been beaten before they were killed, said sheriff's spokesman Mark Techmeyer.
