Predators playing with pride

Dale Nicholls has been around the game of football a long time.

In his 30-plus years as a coach, he’s never experienced a season quite like this.

With only 11 players at his disposal, Nicholls, coach of the Mountain Area Midget Football Association’s Division I eighth-grade Predators team, has to be creative just to get through a typical practice.

On Oct. 23 at Evergreen High School, that meant using his assistant coaches and a few volunteer parents to act as defensive players while the Predators ran through their offensive plays.
