Plans for creating a retreat center at the former Grandma’s Mountain Home on Highway 73 have been delayed.
The current owners of the property, Luke and Renda Beard, have canceled scheduled hearings for a rezoning required to move forward with the project, said Alan Tiefenbach, a Jefferson County planner who is managing the case. The Beards want more time to work on the proposal before continuing with it, he said.
Both the hearing for the Jeffco Planning and Zoning Commission and one scheduled for the county commissioners have been canceled.
