Under the preliminary park district budget for 2010, there will be no furlough days or reduced hours, but district employees are getting no raises or cost-of-living increases. The district has about 35 full-time employees and about 60 contract employees.
The new budget assumes the Evergreen Park and Recreation District will take in nearly $5 million from taxes and operations, an increase of 2 percent compared to $4.85 million in 2009.
