Editor:
This summer, the Evergreen Audubon Society celebrated 15 years of its Weed Awareness Campaign focused at Evergreen Lake. During that time, dedicated Audubon members and community volunteers have hand-pulled or clipped many thousands of non-native noxious weeds there. If allowed to grow uncontrolled, the aggressive weeds would have choked out native vegetation and detrimentally altered the habitat around the lake.
