Thanks to the local litter brigade
You may have noticed the many orange bags lining Highway 74 between Swede Gulch Road and Bergen Parkway this past weekend. It was the work of our own “Road Warriors”: Roman Weathermon and son, Ann and Mike Moore, Marcia Walsh, Dean Haave, Connie and Ted Ning, Steve Doppler, Harry Rhulen and daughter, Todd Bastian, Doug Griffin, Sherm Wenger, Dave Rommelmann, Barb Scripps, Mary Richards, and Gretchen and John MacArthur.
We picked up more than 45 bags of trash and recyclables from the 2-mile stretch. This was about five fewer bags than last fall, so we are winning the battle to keep Evergreen evergreen.
I know the Evergreen community is very appreciative of the hard work of our Road Warriors, who generously gave up their Saturday morning to not only beautify the gateway to our community, but to bring pride to our club. Please thank them when you see them.
