Memories of Ross Grimes
Editor:
When I moved to Evergreen in 1973, I joined the fire department to get involved with our community. For reasons I do not understand, Ross took me under his wing and became my mentor. He taught this young university professor how to deal with people on a human rather than on a cerebral level. His guidance made it possible for me to get the leadership knowledge to progress through the EVFD organization from firefighter through the officer corps and the head of the fire/rescue squad.
