Judging by the lack of wait time at selected polling places in Evergreen, the big story of Election Day 2008, other than the results, is that early voting and mail-in voting were working so well that last-minute voting may become obsolete.
In general, election judges outnumbered voters at any given moment on Tuesday at the Lake House, Evergreen Middle School and Buchanan Rec Center.
Reports from Kittredge Community Center and Church of the Transfiguration confirmed the impression that voting on Election Day was pretty much a piece of cake.
