The Evergreen Fire Protection District unveiled new "Fire Danger" signs at the board’s regular monthly meeting April 10.
The new aluminum signs are to be posted around the district at eight fire stations sometime before the end of May, said Doug Saba, spokesman for Evergreen Fire/Rescue .
Interim district administrator Frank Dearborn explained the signs had been in the works for some time and were not created specifically as a result of the Lower North Fork Fire that started March 26.
