The Mountain Area Land Trust is expanding its conservation efforts in the Front Range area, Brian Ballard, president of the Evergreen-based organization, said at the organization’s annual Night in the Park event on Saturday.
“We’re measuring our success by the connectivity it creates,” Ballard said.
Among recent accomplishments is the acquisition of 92 acres in the Pennsylvania Mountain Natural Area near Fairplay, said Ballard. The entire 500-acre property has rich biodiversity that university scientists are studying.
