A Morrison police officer was released from the hospital with “bumps and bruises” after his car crashed Jan. 23 on U.S. 285 in Morrison, a police official said.
Officer Paul Osckel was driving south on U.S. 285 near Colorado 8 about 7:30 p.m. that evening, according to Morrison police Sgt. Joe Leo.
“He was pursuing a traffic violator,” Leo said. “It appears … he just lost traction and got a little sideways.”
Osckel’s patrol car did not go off the road, but it may be a total loss, Leo said.
