Don’t be surprised by the name change on the signs — Mutual of Omaha Bank branches in Conifer, Evergreen, Golden and Idaho Springs are now owned by Centennial Bank.

Financial terms of the sale were not disclosed. It closed on Friday, Oct. 24. New signage went up over the weekend, and all Mutual of Omaha workers remain employed at the bank branches.

Parent company Denver-based CIC Bancshares Inc. plans to invest even more money in the future into the communities in which the new branches are located, said Kevin Ahern, chairman and chief executive of the parent company, and chairman of Centennial Bank. Bank officials see the mountain communities as “growing markets,” Ahern said.

CIC Bancshares also bought the Mutual of Omaha Nederland branch. The company acquired $210 million in deposits, Ahern said, increasing Centennial Bank’s assets to more than $725 million.

Centennial Bank has 14 branches in Colorado, including downtown Denver, Boulder, Centennial and Englewood, as well as the mountain communities of Breckenridge, Edwards, Steamboat Springs, Vail and Winter Park/Fraser.
