Philip Isely, who made his home on Lookout Mountain, devoted much of his life to achieving world peace.
“He spent most of his life working for peace,” said his widow Eli Isely, while talking about the life of her husband, who died at age 96 on June 26.
Philip, who also was a co-founder of Vitamin Cottage, was very sad that the dream he believed he was born to do — to organize a world government that would take care of global problems — was unrealized, she said.
